Manjimup Community Resource Centre has long been a vital hub for its local community, and it is now one of the winners of this quarter’s uLaunch Employer Awards!
Located in regional Western Australia, the Manjimup Community Resource Centre (CRC) is proudly supported by The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD. The CRC serves as a key connection point for the community, providing access to technology, internet services, community information and support services. They also facilitate essential State and Federal Government Agency services such as Centrelink, Department of Transport and can provide referral advice for local Veterans as an agent for Department of Veteran Affairs.
The Manjimup CRC is also home to the local uLaunch Manjimup office, where uLaunch proudly delivers disability support services to the local community. This award recognises the strong relationship between uLaunch and the Manjimup CRC and the successful outcome of Amber, one of uLaunch’s participants.
In 2022, the Manjimup CRC offered Amber a traineeship in administration. Throughout her traineeship, uLaunch worked closely with the Manjimup CRC, providing tools and resources to ensure Amber received the tailored support she needed. Amber successfully completed her traineeship and was offered a full-time role. She celebrated 52 weeks of employment, exited the service and launched into sustainable work, where she continues to thrive.
This successful outcome underscores the value of uLaunch’s services and how it contributes to the strength and growth of the local community. The ongoing partnership with Manjimup CRC continues to create new opportunities, empowering individuals to achieve meaningful employment. Their commitment to supporting the local community is what earned them this well-deserved recognition as a uLaunch Employer Awards winner.
