With the holidays fast approaching, uLaunch Mirrabooka is bringing extra joy to the community this year.
Thanks to a generous donation of food hampers from The Salvation Army, the team is paying it forward by distributing these hampers to participants who need them most during this time of year.
Mirrabooka faces significant socio-economic challenges such as food security, underscoring the importance of initiatives like this.
The uLaunch team carefully reviewed their participant list to identify individuals who would benefit most from an extra boost. Many recipients live alone or face financial hardship, making small gestures like these hampers deeply meaningful.
Eight participants were selected to receive the food hampers, each filled with essential items and a touch of holiday cheer. One recipient shared her heartfelt gratitude, saying this kind gesture had “made her day.” Her words reflect the power of giving and the importance of community connection during the festive season.
