Bailey has found the perfect role for her, thanks to a Joblife Employee Consultant (EC) who didn’t give up.
Bailey, 37 had an incredible career as a successful podiatrist until she started experiencing fatigue and consistent headaches that were attributed to depression and anxiety. A physician indicated that Bailey should exit this industry as it was impacting her health negatively.
At the time of Bailey connecting with Joblife, she didn’t feel confident working in a team environment and had little hope that she could work at all. With a gentle guidance from her employment consultant this changed dramatically.
The Joblife EC developed a plan to see Bailey re-enter the workforce with confidence, by focussing on Bailey’s strengths which was that she felt more secure and positive working with existing people from her friendship group, many of whom owned small businesses.
With some perseverance and groundwork the Joblife EC found an employer who happily agreed to take Bailey on as a employee. Bailey now works as a shop assistant in a bustling café where she feels very happy and confident in safe and secure environment.
From small steps Bailey now works towards being a great employee and constantly strives for success.
