Empowering Women with Dress for Success in Western Australia

Recently, the uLaunch team in Western Australia partnered with Dress for Success, a charity dedicated to empowering women through professional attire and confidence-building, for another transformative event.  

Led by uLaunch Mirrabooka’s Engagement Consultant, Gaynor, five uLaunch participants each took significant steps toward their future careers in an uplifting and supportive environment. 

The event provided more than just new clothing for the uLaunch participants; it created a sense of self-worth and empowerment. Event stylists guided the women in choosing outfits that celebrated their individuality, giving personalised tips and tricks on styling for success. 

After carefully browsing through the selection the women each chose two new outfits. Not only do the outfits compliment their unique styles, but they are also ideal for interviews and to kick-start their professional journeys. 

The participants came together afterward to enjoy afternoon tea. This moment of reflection allowed for new connections to be made as they shared experiences navigating employment and living with disability. Nina, one of the participants shared; 

The joy in the room was undeniable, with each women feeling empowered and uplifted to take on the next chapter of their lives. 

This collaboration between Dress for Success and uLaunch is a testament to the transformative power of community partnerships and quality service. It underscores the importance of social inclusion, providing a platform for individuals to thrive not just in employment but in every aspect of their lives.
