The Angus Knight Group and the Purple Hands Foundation have united in an exciting three-year partnership. This collaboration aims to create new community projects that support people with disability, First Nations and disadvantaged youth. uLaunch will sponsor and co-design these transformative projects with the Purple Hands Foundation.
Nic Fairbank, CEO of the Angus Knight Group, expressed excitement about the partnership: “We’re thrilled to be the inaugural major partner of the Purple Hands Foundation.” He praised the Foundation’s dedication to addressing important social issues affecting young people and looks forward to expanding their impact.
The partnership starts with uLaunch supporting the Sensory Room at Fremantle Dockers’ Optus Stadium home games. This space offers individuals with disability a quiet place during matches. Additionally, the collaboration will expand the Goals aHead program, promoting resilience and positive mental well-being among secondary school students.
Dale Alcock, Director of the Purple Hands Foundation, highlighted the shared values between the organisations: “Our two groups are working together to invest in people’s futures, building resilience and hope through sports and community.”
The Purple Hands Foundation focuses on building healthy and united communities through sports and partnerships. uLaunch works to create pathways to employment for individuals with disability, illness and injury. This support enables the Purple Hands Foundation to continue impactful programs that address social challenges.
Karena Newland, CEO of uLaunch, emphasized their shared approach: “We partner and co-design with people living with disabilities. We’re privileged to work with Purple Hands to create empowering experiences for clients and those with lived experiences of disability.”
